Materials: leather hide, 12" x 24" piece of wood, 10" x 22" piece of plexiglass, staple gun + staples, electric drill, upholstery tacks, tack hammer

I bought my wood pre-cut to this size at the craft store. As for the plexi, word on the street is that Lowe's will cut it to size. I learned that Home Depot does not, but I invested in a $4 cutting tool and DIYed it. You can also buy custom cut plexi online.

If need be, cut your leather to just larger than the wooden board. Wrap it taut around the board and staple into place.

Using a very small drill bit just bigger than the upholstery tack, carefully drill a small hole in each of the four corners of the plexiglass. I'd say I applied medium pressure at a medium speed. I had no problems accomplishing this without cracking the plexi, but you might want to give it a test run on a scrap piece first.

Center the plexi onto the leather-wrapped wood. Secure by carefully hammering upholstery tacks through the four drilled holes through the leather and into the wood.

Now that is one fancy dry erase board, and gosh, the leather texture is just so lovely! I just leaned mine up against the wall, but add a little picture hanger to the back if you'd prefer to hang it.
