Today marks the finale of this week of Tipsy Tuesdays dedicated to simple syrups and the cocktails that make them shine. And to round things out, I have an easy recipe for a green tea syrup that's an interesting addition to a vodka martini. Read on for both recipes and more pics.
To make the syrup, combine 1/2 cup of brewed green tea and 1/2 cup of sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir until sugar has dissolved. Store in fridge for up to a month.
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Vodka 1 oz Green Tea Syrup .5 oz Lemon Juice
Directions: Pour a small amount of Dry Vermouth in a chilled martini glass. Swirl to coat and discard the rest. Shake ingredients together with ice. Strain into martini glass. Garnish with Lemon Twist.
