For fear that Tipsy Tuesday would become exclusively vodka-based drinks, I've recruited Michael, whose tastes for liquor are much more varied than my own, to help me out a bit. This is a little concoction that he came up with on our trip home to Tennessee. Despite the presence of whiskey, I've got to admit that I also really liked it.
A summer drink, for sure, with refreshing notes of apricot, lemon, and ginger with a hint of oak from the whiskey. It can feel like a gulper, so be careful.
6 oz Magic Hat #9
1.5 oz Tennessee Whiskey
1 oz Ginger Liqueur (like Domaine de Canton)
juice of 1/4 Lemon
Stir ingredients together in a frosted glass. Garnish with lemon slice.
