A Not-So-Handmade Holiday

I tend to be an all-or-nothing kind of person, and I'm no different with the holidays.  I am either on my A game with Christmas presents, or I just totally phone it in  (think: gift certificates).  This year was an off year.  However, I managed to churn out one small handmade gift for the one member of my family that appreciates that sort of thing above all others--my sister-in-law Cholle (pronounced cole-ee, short for Nicholle).  She's very creative and appreciates the fruits of others' creativity.  She's a photographer (check out her Etsy shop here) that recently got into painting, so I thought I'd make her a little something to support her new interests.

In the end, I picked up some new paint brushes and made a roll-up for her to store them, and I really, really like the final product.  I had taken some great in-process photos, but in my frustration with my camera, I reformatted my memory card, which, apparently, erases all the photos on it.  Who knew?!  So I snapped a few photos of it after she'd opened it.

I think she really liked it!
