Fwd: DIY Event

A subtle reminder that, if you're in the DC area, you should grab your ticket now for next Sunday's Drink & DIY event featuring crafts and cocktails by me!  The $15 ticket includes some fine locally-grown shopping at Ginger Root Design (which coincidentally offers a nice little selection of Fabric Paper Glue bags and card cases), drinks, 3 DIYs, a Luri & Wilma tote bag, and coupons/goodies from local businesses.

My favorite links this week:
  • This week, I spent some serious time with Food & Wine's Christmas Cocktails page.  I think I'm in love with the ridiculously esoteric list of ingredients required for nearly every cocktails.  This, of course, makes me a terrible, terrible cocktail hipster.  But I have no shame.
  • I'm loving this exaggerated holly garland by The House that Lars Built for Hellobee.  It just warms my heart more than you can know.
  • Charming DIY coasters from Design Love Fest.
  • I'm going to Alt Summit in January.  Have I mentioned that?  Anyway, I should get this post by Erin Loechner about making friends at Alt like tattooed on my forearm.  I don't know if you know this about me, but I'm actually stupidly easily intimidated.  True story.
